MICRO HOUSE: a compact sustainable house which can be conventionally built. One version on columns for flood prone tropical regions.

Cementitious exterior panels reflect solar heat, keeping the interior cool.

Rooftop photoelectric panels generate power. In the raised house, the PE panel rotates to follow the sun’s path.
- A deck atop the first level provides a shaded outdoor area to gather
- A central stack which encloses the spiral stair wicks air up to the roof.
SOLAR HOUSE
SOLAR BEACH HOUSE: Roof top photoelectric panels together with light modulating glass reflect heat and generate energy.

Local aggregate is added to strengthen concrete supporting columns
- Grooves in the roof capture rain which is stored in a cistern and used for irrigation.
- Wall panels can be easily rearranged.
- Roof is upheld with trusses made of recycled engineered wood.

Combination of shops on the ground floor and apartments above provides an opportunity for work-live arrangements.

This design has a precast concrete, modular structure which could be rebuilt in other coastal communities using locally obtained materials.
